The GEDC in conjunction with the Grundy County Chamber hosted its annual dinner on March 22, 2017 at Chapin’s East in Minooka. There were several awards presented to businesses and individuals in recognition of their accomplishments and their contributions to the Grundy County economy and community. The GEDC honored the following for their excellence in 2016:

The GEDC is excited to announce that Competitive Power Ventures (CPV) is planning to construct a $1 billion, 1,100 MW generating station in Grundy County. The GEDC has been working with CPV since March of 2015 and are very happy that they have chosen Grundy County to build their new state-of-the-art facility.
